Colonel John Maubach, USAF, Retired

John Maubach accumulated over 35 years of experience managing large-scale and complex military and civilian organizational enterprises, much of it in the Special Operations and Rescue environment. As a Commander for the United States Air Force, he directed the most diverse Operations Support Squadron in the Air Force (16th Operations Support Squadron), leading 9 subordinate aviation organizations, serving as Director of Operations for Joint/Combined Special Operations Air Component. 

He went on to serve as Deputy Commander for Combat Ops, 1st Joint Special Operations Air Component, directing a selectively managed group who coordinated and controlled the planning and execution of complex aviation support for highly classified missions involving Special Operations Forces of the Army, Air Force, and Navy. His final assignment was Commander, 58th Operations Group where he managed a $1.2B contract employing aircrew education budget and training devices totaling approximately $550M. 

Upon retirement, he transitioned to Training Operations Manager for Lockheed Martin, before spending ten years with Sierra Nevada Corporation as Program Director, Aircrew Training, Contract Logistics Support Ops, where he was responsible for the overall direction of programs with an annual combined budget of over $240M. Currently, John serves as a deployable Site Lead for Huntington-Ingalls Inc, supporting their East Africa Personnel Recovery/Casualty Evacuation contract.  

Additionally, John and his wife, Becky, own Knight Vision Performance Horses, where they breed and train elite level barrel racing and performance horses.
