graduating amidst a pandemic
As we wrap up the celebration of SOWF’s 40th Anniversary – we are proud to announce that we have reached 400 total college graduates!
Despite the pandemic, our Scholarships and Family Outreach Team steered 38 high school seniors towards graduation.
Needless to say, with limited access to college and technical school campuses and our in-person standard supportive services, 2020 has been a challenging year. Much-deserved credit to our Scholarships and Family Outreach team for stepping up throughout this uncharted territory to make the proper adjustments within our existing virtual environment to ensure that every student received all the tools necessary for success. Despite the pandemic, we are happy to announce 38 students graduated high school this past spring, 24 college students earned their degrees, and approximately 180 students enrolled in college this fall.
38 students graduated high school in the spring of 2020.
Amid many challenges brought on by the pandemic, an impressive 97.4% of our graduates enrolled in college or proudly chose to enlist in the military.

What I wish to have experienced were all of the senior activities, but that's totally ok, because life happens and we have to keep moving forward.
