Hal Steinbrenner begins his 29th season with the New York Yankees organization in 2019 and his 11th as Managing General Partner / Co-Chairperson. Under Mr. Steinbrenner’s leadership, the Yankees have retained and enhanced their global popularity while continuing to field championship-caliber teams. Since taking the position of Managing General Partner, the Yankees’ .569 combined winning percentage (921-699) is the best in all of baseball.

In recent years, Mr. Steinbrenner and the Yankees organization have focused on improving the experience for fans of all ages by providing more family-friendly and socially oriented spaces at the Yankees’ spring training home — George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa — and at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. In 2014, Mr. Steinbrenner was appointed to Major League Baseball’s eight-owner Executive Council. The group serves as a sounding board for the Commissioner, advising him on all major issues. Mr. Steinbrenner also serves on the Board of Directors for Legends Hospitality, LLC, a holistic solution provider in the sports, music and entertainment industry which offers expertise in global planning, global sales and hospitality. Additionally, he is Chairman and CEO of Steinbrenner Hotel Properties and holds a seat on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay. Hal Steinbrenner served on the Special Operations Warrior Foundation Board of Directors from 2001-2020.
