Major General Patrick Roberson, USA, Retired
Major General Patrick Roberson is a retired career U.S. Army Special Forces Officer. Pat spent more than 35 years in the Army leading units ranging from Infantry Rifle Platoons to several different Special Operations Task Forces. Pat spent five years commanding US and Allied Special Operations Forces in combat in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria. In his last combat command of a Special Operations Joint Task Force, Pat significantly contributed to the destruction of the ISIS physical caliphate in 2019.
Pat was also the commander of the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School where he revamped training, doctrine, and course curriculum to ensure Army Special Operations’ readiness for future strategic challenges. He also kept the center and training pipeline optimally moving forward during the COVID Pandemic despite numerous challenges.
In his last position as the Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Pat directed Special Operations forces globally, overseeing operations ranging from combat and training to recruiting and technology.
He holds an M.S. in Defense Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School, an M.A. in Strategic Studies from the Army School of Advanced Military Studies, complemented by executive coursework in leadership and strategic thinking from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Pat has been married for more than 34 years and has three grown sons. He enjoys reading, spending time with his growing family, biking, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
