Dave Horvath is a former Army Officer and Special Operator, having served 10 years on active duty, conducting multiple overseas deployments across a variety of theaters.

After transitioning from active duty service, Dave pursued his MBA at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, and embarked on a career in strategy consulting, private equity, and, most recently, late-stage technology investing at Disruptive- a Dallas, TX-based growth equity firm.

Dave is a Vice President at Disruptive and opened the firm’s Washington, DC office in the winter of 2023. He leads a large portion of the firm’s National Security and Dual-use technology portfolio, and he is passionate about continuing to support US National Security through investment in truly impactful Defense technologies, enhancing the efforts of American warfighters and protecting the American public.

Dave has also served on the advisory board and finance committee for the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming since 2022. He is an avid competitive golfer and barbecue pitmaster, and a native of Dennis, Massachusetts. Dave currently resides in Washington, DC.
