Bryan Brotchie, PGA

Bryan Brotchie is a PGA Member and the Head Golf Professional at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Texas.

A native Californian, he graduated with honors from Yucaipa High School at the age of 16.  He also graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology as well as playing Division II Volleyball.

Always a natural on the golf course, having never had a lesson, he began his golf career in the cart barn at courses in the Palm Springs area and quickly moved to the golf shop at Rancho Las Palmas Resort.  He set the course record of 62 on the par 71 course and the golf shop was recognized as one of the top 100 in the nation.

While working at various clubs around California, as an assistant and giving lessons, he passed the PGA Players Ability Test and cemented the fact he was in the golf business to stay, obtaining PGA Membership in 2007.

In 2008 he had the opportunity to move to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and work as the Member 1st Assistant Golf Professional at Geneva National Golf Club.

He held that title for 4 ½ years until becoming the Member Head Golf Professional for the next 7 years. During his time at Geneva National he met and married Heidi Haas, who is a very proud Texan, a Golf Teaching Professional in her own right, and has made it no secret that she would love to live back in her “homeland”.

In 2020 Bryan was awarded the Wisconsin PGA’s Patriot Award for outstanding service to his community and volunteer work to support military veteran children.  Specifically, he organized his club membership to sponsor and raise money in support of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Not only have they raised more than $500,000, several members have accepted the challenge to sponsor events supporting SOWF at other golf clubs where they are members. Bryan and Heidi are getting settled in Frisco and don’t be surprised when Stonebriar becomes a new SOWF supporter.
