SOWF Ambassadors

Bryan Brotchie is a PGA Member and the Director of Golf at Dominion Valley Country Club in Haymarket, VA.

A native Californian, he graduated with honors from Yucaipa High School at the age of 16.  He also graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology as well as playing Division II Volleyball.

While working at various clubs around California, as an assistant and giving lessons, he passed the PGA Players Ability Test and cemented the fact he was in the golf business to stay, obtaining PGA Membership in 2007.

In 2008 he had the opportunity to move to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and work as the Member 1st Assistant Golf Professional at Geneva National Golf Club.

He held that title for 4 ½ years until becoming the Member Head Golf Professional for the next 7 years. During his time at Geneva National he met and married Heidi Haas, who is a very proud Texan, a Golf Teaching Professional in her own right, and has made it no secret that she would love to live back in her “homeland”.

In 2020 Bryan was awarded the Wisconsin PGA’s Patriot Award for outstanding service to his community and volunteer work to support military veteran children.  Specifically, he helped organize his club membership to sponsor and raise money in support of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Not only have they raised more than $1,000,000, but the event is also scheduled in partnership with the Swim 4 Freedom event that takes place on Lake Geneva.  

As an advocate for veterans everywhere, and in coordination with the PGA, Bryan has led PGA HOPE classes for veterans in WI, TX, and now VA, as well as serving on the Northern TX PGA HOPE Committee while in TX. 

Bryan and Heidi are getting settled in Haymarket and don’t be surprised when Dominion Valley becomes a new SOWF supporter.
