Liam J. Gilroy is a Managing Partner at Fortis Wealth Management LLC. Before founding Fortis, Liam served as an Army Special Forces Officer, operating within Army and Joint Special Operations units across multiple combat theaters during the Global War on Terrorism.

Following his active-duty service, Liam transitioned into the financial sector, where he focuses on guiding individuals and businesses in investment strategies and financial planning. His mission is to help clients achieve their financial goals while preserving and growing their wealth.

Liam’s advisory work spans a diverse range of industries, including defense, healthcare, technology, and oil and gas exploration. His core passion lies in supporting companies at the forefront of great power competition, particularly those developing dual-use technologies with both defense and commercial applications.

He is a distinguished graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, where he earned academic and military honors, and holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Liam lives in Boone, North Carolina, with his wife, Eleanor, and their two children.
