This past Saturday evening, hundreds gathered at the Omni Dallas Hotel for our annual Join Forces: Texas Style major fundraising dinner, presented by Decisive Point and Transamerica. This major fundraising dinner was conceived by board member Cole Hauser – the night featured a dinner program filled with messages of inspiration from Major General (Ret) Clay Hutmacher, President and CEO of SOWF, SOWF Chairman, four-star General (Ret) “Tony” Thomas, Admiral William H. McRaven ADM, USN (Ret), SOWF college graduate student, Samantha Bradshaw and others. Prior to the dinner, women received a Yellow Rose of Texas flower and guests socialized at the reception where SOWF conducted a silent auction centered around a music theme – pieces included memorabilia from all four members of The Beatles, composer John Williams, Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers, Michael McDonald, the bands Styx, REO Speedwagon, Loverboy and the Zac Brown Band, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Reba McEntire, and additional major names. New York Times best-selling author and friend of SOWF, Brad Taylor, COL (Ret) Andy Anderson and many other companies and individuals also donated items. SOWF appreciated every contribution.
Actors Cole Hauser, Forrie Smith, Jill Wagner, former NFL Pro Bowl Lineman Alejandro Villanueva, along with other special guests were also in attendance.
