Ensuring Student Success, Every Step of the Way

The month of January is recognized as National Mentoring Month. At Special Operations Warrior Foundation, we know the importance of instilling positive academic attitudes in children and adolescents, so we proudly provide fully funded professional, unlimited private tutoring for our students, from kindergarten through college graduation, anywhere in the country. Whether a student is having trouble learning to read or struggling in acing their AP exams to get into their dream college, private, one-on-one tutoring and educational services are provided at no cost to the student.

Below is a heartfelt note from Dr. Kimberly Vaughn Kryzda, the surviving spouse of U.S. Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer Aaron Vaughn, who lost his life in 2011 while assigned to the Navy Special Warfare Command, on the impact that tutoring has had on their son, Reagan.

"Thanks to SOWF, my son, Reagan, has an amazing math tutor he is very comfortable with. He never struggles to "go to tutoring" anymore. I appreciate her patience with him, and I see their relationship as very valuable. I have to remind myself that he is a kid, and likely takes directions and advice better from someone other than a parent. My patience wears thin and having a tutor for him is so very valuable — not just for his grades, but for mine and Reagan's relationship, too! Thank you, Special Operations Warrior Foundation! This truly is a blessing!"
