On Saturday, September 25th, over 220 friends of SOWF gathered at Gilley’s – Dallas for Join Forces: Texas Style, a major fundraising dinner to benefit SOWF. Spearheaded by Yellowstone actor Cole Hauser, the evening included a silent auction with a variety of Dallas Cowboys legends and current players memorabilia, a signed jersey from 1980 Miracle on Ice gold medalist, Jim Craig (also a member of SOWF’s Board of Directors), Special Operations Forces commemorative pieces, signed books from renowned writers (C.J. Box and Brad Taylor), rare wines, a signed movie poster from Matthew McConaughey and assorted other items.
The dinner program, hosted by former Dallas Cowboys sideline reporter, Lindsay Draper, featured talks by CBS Network News Investigative Reporter, Catherine Herridge, Cole Hauser, Major General (Retired) Clay Hutmacher, President and CEO of Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a deeply thoughtful and emotional personal message from SOWF graduate and the newly married, Ebony Alvarado, and a video by SOWF graduate, Taniya Wright. There were five incredible live auction packages and an evening-ending guest interactive fundraising opportunity.
