Student Story: Zach Wheeler

I am very grateful for SOWF’s support and commitment in helping me achieve my education. I was able to reach and touch the clouds.

The financial support I received helped me pursue a higher education without being pulled down by the heavy burden of expenses. Also, the tutoring support helped me immensely not only in strengthening my academic skills but confidence while performing in difficult classes. It felt great having that much-needed support and assistance along my academic journey.

It’s a personal endeavor because before my father passed away in his last deployment, he would constantly express his enthusiasm about me as his son would soon attend a higher education, an opportunity he didn’t have when he was my age.

This year is bittersweet; it’s been ten years now since he passed away, and as I get closer to graduating this semester, I still think about his excitement for me. I am honored to be a part of SOWF, and I will never forget their opportunities and support that have helped me achieve my educational dreams.

Thank you so much, SOWF!

Congratulations to our 2025 Graduates!

Behind every brave Warrior is a family that serves, too. When a Special Operator or Medal of Honor Recipient sacrifices their life, carries a legacy of courage, or is forever changed by wounds or illness, their loved ones bear that weight. Such sacrifice should never be met with silence or forgotten promises. By standing with these families—through education, support, and opportunity—we honor their service with hope and a future their sacrifice made possible. Promise made – promise kept.
