Mallory Knight is a Vice President and Division Manager for Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA).  His background includes 37 years of experience spanning special operations, technical and program management, resource and workforce management, life-cycle sustainment support, flight test, organizational leadership, and as an advisor to political appointees and senior officials within the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). His operational experience ranges from electronic warfare systems operator up through commander of a special operations organization during contingency and wartime operations. 

Mallory’s technical experience ranges from flight test and systems engineer to technical management at both a major defense contractor’s maintenance and modification facility and at the US Air Force’s largest Aircraft Depot providing weapon system sustainment, upgrade, and supply chain management. His acquisition and resourcing experience includes program management of US Special Operations Command and Air Force Special Operations Command weapon system programs, resource management and oversight of counterterrorism programs, and advisement to senior OSD officials on sensitive operational capabilities and major defense acquisition programs. Mallory also served as a senior executive at the Air Force Test Center as the Director of Engineering and Technical Management prior to his current corporate role. 

He has a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and two Master of Science degrees in Management and Strategic Studies. He is married to his wife Sara, and they have a son Ryan and a daughter Emmalee.
