As we close out 2024, Special Operations Warrior Foundation reflects with immense gratitude on an extraordinary year of achievements. Together with our dedicated supporters, we’ve honored commitments, overcome challenges, and expanded our impact for the families of America’s Special Operations and Medal of Honor communities.
Educational Milestones This year, we proudly supported 217 students actively enrolled in post-secondary institutions. Among them, 38 students graduated, embarking on the next chapter of their lives with degrees earned through hard work and the unwavering support of their SOWF family.
On the High School front, numerous students graduated and advanced to colleges and universities across the country, their futures bolstered by the generosity of our supporters.
Expanding Outreach Our mission to extend educational opportunities included the addition of 61 children of fallen Special Operations Personnel and nine children of deceased spouses of active-duty Special Operators to the program. In addition, we added 8 children of Medal of Honor Recipients. We’ve now reached a total of 1,923 children served. (as of December 24, 2024)
Programs like EPIC (Educational Planning Informational Conference) have further strengthened SOWF’s dedication to equipping students and families with the tools they need to succeed. This summer’s 10th Annual Operation EPIC was a highlight, bringing students and mentors together for impactful workshops and guidance.
Support for Wounded, Ill, and Injured Warriors In 2024, we assisted 56 wounded, ill, or injured Special Operators through our direct support program. This support included an increased financial stipend of $6,000 ($1,000 increase from 2023) and an iPad to aid in their recovery. (as of December 24, 2024)
A Community United Moments of unexpected challenges, such as Hurricane Milton, tested our resilience but reminded us of the strength of our SOWF family. Whether providing advocacy, ensuring events ran smoothly, or addressing student and family needs, our collective spirit never wavered.
Looking Ahead We enter 2025 inspired by this year’s accomplishments and the unwavering support of our incredible donors, Board members, and Ambassadors. Together, we’re paving the way for another impactful year of service and transformation for the families of America’s heroes. Thank you for being part of this journey.
